摘要: 2013年10月,在法拉盛缅街和樱桃街交界口,曾发生一起恶性交通事故。年仅3岁的华裔女童Allison Liao在与祖母过马路时,惨遭一印度裔司机碾压后,送医不治身亡。痛失幼女让廖姓一家人悲痛欲绝,而肇事司机虽当日饮酒 … 如今车祸发生已过一年,11月6号,车辆管理局又将车祸中肇事司机的两张罚单撤销。Allison Liao的家人还没有从丧失幼女的阴影中走出,接到这条消息后,父亲Liao Hsi Pei在脸书上发表了自己的不满与愤怒。 Liao一家的代理律师表示,之前对于车祸的报道显示,事发当时,女童Allision是挣脱了祖母的手,独自走在马路上,而肇事司机正在左转弯,女童正好在司机的视线盲区,才未被察觉,导致惨案发生。而且昨天庭审时,肇事司机又一次重申Allison是突然冲到了他的车旁边。 但是律师提供的一段行车视频却否定了这一结论。在这段视频中可以看到,在事故发生前,祖孙两人当时手牵手走在斑马线上,这时肇事司机在左转时首先撞到了祖母,然后汽车前轮从Allison身上碾过后,后轮又从她的头部碾压过去。可见事故现场并非像报告所说的女童是擅自走到肇事车旁边。 目前Liao家人正准备向肇事司机提起讼诉,并希望车辆管理局召开关于肇事司机的听证会。从今天起,纽约将开始全面实施25英里每小时的限速令。如果每个人都能放慢速度,遵守交通,Allision的悲剧可能不会再上演。 Click here for the full report.
