The family of a Canadian man struck and killed by a truck while riding his bike in Brooklyn has sued the Police Department to release records of the accident.
Mr. Lefevre’s parents were not necessarily looking for retribution, though they wanted to know where the evidence led, Mr. Vaccaro said. ”If the driver knowingly left the scene of a crash in which someone was injured, then the driver has committed a crime and that should be pursued,” Mr. Vaccaro said.
