Steve Vaccaro of the Law Office of Vaccaro Law gave a presentation to Families for Safe Streets on the rights and options of crash victims and their families. Steve explains New York’s fragmented system that too often fails to deliver meaningful justice to crash victims or to impose serious consequences for reckless driving.  Using examples, Steve lays out the concrete steps crash victims can take to improve outcomes in particular cases and on the systemic level, with the police, District Attorneys, the Department of Motor Vehicles, and in civil litigation. Steve also discusses the systemic forces that pressures families into abandoning their quest for justice, and what is being done to reform them.
