Suit: Window tint factored in fatal hit of teen jogger on South Shore

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Contrary to Police Department findings, a pickup truck’s tinted windows prevented the driver from seeing a teenage jogger who he fatally struck last year on a Prince’s Bay street, a wrongful death lawsuit alleges.

“The family is still very much in the mourning process,” said Daniels’ lawyer, Steve Vaccaro.”They are seeking justice in  this case. They very much want to know what happened.”

“We’re going to explore the role of the tinting in this crash,” Vaccaro said, adding he is attempting to obtain the police reports for this incident. “As I understand it, the driver claimed he didn’t see Jenna Daniels before hitting her.”
