Daily News: Pedestrian fatalities in city down by one-third

The recently-launched campaign by our client Amy Cohen and many others to eliminate traffic deaths is already having an impact.

Forty pedestrians were killed by cars between January 1 and May 4, 2014, compared with 60 in the same span last year, according to figures the NYPD provided.  But mom Amy Cohen, 49, said even one pedestrian death is too many.  Her 12-year-old son, Sammy Cohen Eckstein, was killed October 8 by a car on Prospect Park West in Brooklyn.
